Scorehand Terms of Service
Last updated: November 5, 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms govern your use of the Scorehand plugin for MuseScore Studio, the Scorehand Talkback assistant for REAPER, their websites and related services (the "Service"), provided by Scorehand ("Scorehand", "we", "us"). By getting a key, using the Service or paying for a plan or credits, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for a business or school, you confirm you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.
Arrangements and the free and paid chart tools have their own music terms and music privacy notice.
2. What the Service is
Scorehand and Scorehand Talkback change your score or your REAPER project from requests you write or speak. Requests are worked out automatically with third-party AI models. Features, limits and pricing may change as the Service evolves.
3. Keys, free use, plans and credits
You need a key tied to a confirmed email address. Free use, plans and credit packs are described on the pricing pages; prices are shown before you buy and may change. We will tell you before a price change applies to your subscription. Credits and plan allowances meter use of the Service, have no cash value, cannot be transferred and cannot be exchanged for money. Unused monthly allowance does not carry over. Requests that change nothing are not counted as applied edits; how credits are charged is shown on the pricing pages.
4. Payment, cancellation and refunds
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through PayPal and renew until you cancel. By subscribing you authorize those recurring charges. You can cancel from your account page or in PayPal; cancelling stops future charges and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
Unless the law requires otherwise or we say otherwise in writing, payments are final and non-refundable, including for partly used periods and unused credits. You are responsible for any taxes on your purchase. If a payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend or end your access.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to break any law or anyone's rights; to attack, probe or disrupt the Service or gain unauthorized access to it; to share or resell your key; to get around limits; or in a way that could harm Scorehand or its providers. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
6. Your music
You are responsible for having the right to edit the music you work on. What you make stays yours. You agree that AI output may resemble other material, and that checking it, and clearing any rights you need, is up to you.
7. AI output
Output is automated and can be wrong, incomplete or unmusical. Review it before relying on it. Keep backups of your scores and projects; changes are applied to your open file.
8. Software license
The plugin and Talkback scripts are offered under the license shipped with them, which is shown on the source and license page. That license governs the software itself; these Terms govern the hosted Service.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, including AI model providers, hosting and payment processors. "MuseScore" and "REAPER" are trademarks of their owners. Scorehand is not affiliated with or endorsed by MuseScore, Muse Group or Cockos. We are not responsible for changes, outages or actions by third parties.
10. Service provided "as is"
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, Scorehand is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or work. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the lesser of (a) what you paid us for the Service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US $100.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Scorehand against claims, losses and reasonable costs, including legal fees, arising from your use of the Service, your music, or your breach of these Terms or of anyone's rights.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or create legal or security risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will post the updated version here with a new date. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes are brought in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, except where mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you rights that cannot be waived.
